Basic but HELPFUL!

Looking at the one star reviews it seems like people are rating it down because they view the info as too basic (or outdated). Well that's exactly why I like the book. I was getting frustrated trying find information on affiliate marketing. No one wants to give you any decent information unless you buy their ebook/audio cd/program etc. Why am I going to shell out upwards of 500 bucks for something I know absolutely nothing about. So many books out there are just shills for getting you to try the author's product. Plus I hate the boastful language (which thankfully appears at a minimum in this book), the annoying pictures of BMWs and random wads of cash. I just need to know what all these funky terms mean and how do I use them.

I found this book helpful because of the careful definitions and explanations as well as the step by step detail on how to sign up to websites. Now I consider myself a pretty internet savvy user, but years of work and trying to finish school have left me out of the loop. So I just needed some basic info on what these terms were and this book gave it to me.

The only thing I thought this book could do better was explain more about how much money you should shell out. It seems like you need at least 1000 dollars to have any sort of success. I could be wrong, but the book wasn't clear on how little or how much you should spend to see some returns.

It seems like right now I just don't have the startup money to do this but I've learned a lot from this book and I understand the field so much better. Perhaps I will get a chance in the future.

Great Primer to Affiliate Marketing

I just finished reading Affiliate Millions and really enjoyed it. As an introductory text on affiliate marketing this is a great read. It covers all the bases from beginning to end. This book also does a super job of covering the pitfalls associated with this type of business. The author even introduces some of his own mistakes during his start-up. For someone who has no prior experience in affiliate/search marketing this book would be a good place to start. The steps are outlined in sequential order and very easy to follow. The vocabulary sidebars cover the specialized lingo common in this business. The author lays out all the math required to get you going. He also covers performance and tuning which is very important to the profitability of your search marketing business.
I would highly recommend this book as a starting point in your research. You can use this book to research, start, and maintain a search marketing venture of your own. In closing, the final chapter on starting and running a home based business is introductory and informative with some thought provoking commentary.

Great Book!

A lot of great ideas and resources. Perfect for someone just starting out with affiliate or search marketing. I have been utilizing these techniques for a couple of weeks now and starting to see results.

Very Informative, and an Easy Read!

This book is great for those just starting out, it's an easy read and full of information!

I will say that this book isn't for individuals already in the affiliate marketing business. However, everyone that is just starting out or interested in getting into this business MUST read this. It's very detailed in what steps to take, and Anthony Borelli offers GREAT assistance and guidance with his experience!

I'm a full time student looking to make some extra money, by no means was I looking to make a ton of money, but after reading this I see that it's VERY possible! This book was GREAT and has helped me SO much!

Technique but no cookie

As someone who has spent over a decade on the Internet, I understand the fundamentals of the building of a tool or the utilization of a tool that can be used to generate money online. If you understand this too, then skip this one.

This book is for the complete novice. BUT if that novice buys it, they will regret it because they will spend hours and hours toiling to get to an expert level of understanding on how to build and utilize a system such as this and then be faced with the same outcome I was.

There is absolutely no recommendation for products and services that do well in this environment. All of the check copies posted in the book were dated from 2005 which most folks know was the hay-day of the search marketplace and literally was the first year in existence for the pay-per-click marketplace. Today's marketplace, especially in the affiliate realm, is extremely more competitive largely because of books like this. There was no effort expended in addressing this competitive pressure and the resulting gap reduction between affiliate commission and PPC bids.

At the end of the day, folks, there are no easy millions. You must be ahead of a trend like Mr. Borelli, to exploit such an opportunity. Once the rest of the world has caught up, the only thing you can hope to do is ... you guessed it ... sell a book to teach others how to do it.
